X-X3 Constantine Mk. III by TurinuZ X-X3 Constantine Mk. III by TurinuZ
The request for this Franken came as far back as 2 years ago, on August 26th, 2008. Through several thousand bouts of laziness and no drive to finish it... I've finally finished it!

Though it's completely de-railed from the original request, I like the way it turned out. Colors inspired by Saber from Fate/Stay Night.

This is a Franken designed by me and thus not an original, from-scratch creation, though it includes -a lot of- original tweaks in the design, as well as some minor parts. Arts used belong to their original creators and not me.

Probably one of the last few frankens I'll release, since it's been ages between this one and my last one.

EDIT: Since the link I provided doesn't seem to want to link to the direct post, but the overall topic instead, I've decided to post the wall of text here for those who wish to read it.

Technical and Historical Notes:

A successor unit to the Bedivere design, based off of two failed blueprints originating from the time of the Missing Generation, and some time before the reformation of the Britannian Military after the death of Emperor Lelouch (Generally referred to as the Constantine and Constantine Mk. II, though they had no official name on paper). While the Bedivere was designed as a general successor to the Lancelot while featuring time-proven perfected technologies, the Constantine Mk. III goes farther by incorporating the latest in Aesir technologies with the know-how of Britannian engineering, creating a deadly ground-combat machine. While utilizing the general outline of the Bedivere, the Constantine Mk. III broke the general frame design and became it's own stand-alone model. The idea behind the Constantine Mk. III is "back to the basics", and the frame was built around such. It is a high-performance Knightmare Frame geared towards a ground combat specialty, so much so it has no need for float systems; the Constantine Mk. III doesn't come to it's enemies in the air... rather, they come to it, whether by choice or through force.

The Constantine Mk. III's primary focus was ground offense while having superior defense against modern anti-knightmare frame weapons. To that end, it employs the "Constantine Custom "Liftless" Weight-reduction and Enhancement System". While this system has its roots in float system development, its focus is directed elsewhere. The system cuts the weight of the Constantine Mk. III's body by more than half, giving it a base weight less than the 7th generation knightmare frame Vincent. It's extremely hefty weight is attributed to the synthetic metal material used to construct it's interior frame and armor; a thin but heavy material with strong durability. Suffice to say, anti-Knightmare Frame weapons of the past and present, especially ranged weapons, do little exterior harm; as such the only way to truly engage the Constantine Mk. III is in close combat. Even then, it's not a push-over; the system applied to reduce its weight can also be temporarily transferred when touched by the frame... as such, it can lift over twice it's body weight. This allows it to pick up and throw enemy Knightmares, which regain their base weight once losing contact with the Constantine Mk. III. This is only made possible due to a special muscle-style fiber wrapped around the Constantine Mk. III's arms, which tranfer the flow of energy from the liftless system to the hands.

When it comes to armaments, the Constantine Mk. III focuses more on deadly close combat weapons, but doesn't get shy of ranged equipment. The large shield-like weapons mounted to it's shoulders are actually giant slash harkens, which conceal extremely powerful MVS swords within. They can act as hand-held weapons, or as extremely long-range slash harkens with boosters, allowing them to change direction constantly in mid-flight and "hunt down" aerial enemies, entangling or penetrating them and dragging them down to the ground to be destroyed by the main body. It's primary hand-held weapon is a sword known as the Dyrnwyn, designed based on similar principles to the Galahad's Excalibur. When held by the Constantine Mk. III, a intensely focused blaze of particles engulfs the sword, allowing it to cut through weak barriers and physical objects with ease. It's only form of hand-held ranged armaments consists of an advanced LAPIS rifle (as used by the Edinburgh and Bedivere), which features three barrels instead of one, as well as a larger size design. It's body-mounted low-output hadron blasters are intended for close range rather than far, usually used in conjunction with the slash harkens; enemies are ensnared and pulled in close, then pelted to death by the hadron blasters.

A number of other minor technologies went into the production of the Constantine, mostly pilfered from data obtained from the remains of the Prototype Einherjar. This includes a Britannian-made version of the Einherjar's Sakuradite Turbine Amplifier. With the ultracompact reactor technology in their hands and the ability to amplify minor energy into major energy for prolonged operation times, the Constantine Mk. III can employ energy-consuming barriers that have become obsolete due to their high-energy cost. While it cannot produce similar effects to the Prototype Einherjar's amplifier, the technology quickly allowed the advancement of new and improved Yggdrasil superconductors, which are designed in a way that can easily replace the conductors in older generation models. The Constantine Mk. III has broken the mold imposed by energy shortages for military weapons, and as such has become a great symbol on the battlefield for Britannia as a high-performance machine not bound by modern military weapon limitations.

Another superb Knightmare Frame, this one really gives off the knightly feeling and chivalrous aura to it.
I imagined KFs to be very more knight-like rather than toy-like before watching Code Geass.

in my opinion ......i think it can't move freely when it comes to battle , because of some body parts details ... but still a great job done ............. i also like saber of fate stay night.............so keep going .....IMPRESSIVE

This is one of the best fan-made mecha I've ever seen for Code Geass.

Quick comment on the unit info: you mean 5.8 kilometers right? 5.8 meters is only about twice the height of a regular person.

That's taller than most other Knightmare Frame units, excluding machines like Gawain and Galahad. Hence why practically all KMFs have the large cockpit on their backs, as they're extremely small.

Hmm...I guess you have a point there. It's funny, but even with the occasional human-KMF interactions I never quite realized just how small these "giant robots" are. Now the new A.C.E. game makes more sense to me, showing the Lancelot as being barely knee-high with Gundams.
